Frederick Holmes School Parent, Teacher and Friends Association
Frederick Holmes is not a neighbourhood school; almost all of our children are transported to and from school by the Local Authority and consequently parents do not have the same opportunities to meet with other parents at the school gate. The Parent, Teachers and Friends Association, (PTFA), comprises a small group of parents and who joined together to organise inclusive activities and events to both raise funds for the school and bring the school community together.
PTFA activities depend on what the members want but might include:
Running social events for parents and children which provide an opportunity for people to meet and get to know each other
Providing support for special events
Providing support for after school activities
Organising coffee mornings and welcome events for new parents in our café facility
Raising funds to help the school provide extra resources for the pupils
The PTFA meet in the Oasis Café every half term for about an hour and would like to see their group grow; so if you would like to get involved in the PTFA as a family member or friend to the school please contact us.
